SNAKE SIGHTINGS ON COURSE
Posted on: 11 December
Dear Members,
Please be advised in recent days we have received reports from members of snake sightings around the 2nd and 11th holes.
We urge you not to approach the animal. Calmly move away from the snake as they can become aggressive when threatened.
Call the Golf Shop should you see one 5530 9033.
Be careful searching for balls in native grasses and gardens- this is the time of year when snakes are active.
If you have been struck:
– remove yourself from immediate danger
– call the Golf Shop.
– apply a compression bandage ( or other material like a shirt) from the tip or your limb toward the heart. Immobilising the bite sight is important.
– keep patient calm
– a good description of the snake will help get the correct medical treatment.
If you have any queries, about what to do please contact our staff.
Stay safe, Tracey-Lea
